The Black Swan: The Best film of the year.
What can I say about this film. From the acting of Portman to the direction of Aronofsky, this film delivers. The first time I heard about the plot of this film, I wasn’t really interested, but upon seeing the trailer, my interest raised up. There are many good thing about the Black Swan and I hope because of the Black Swan, Darren Aronofsky will get more recognition as a director.
Scott Pilgrim vs the world
I applaud Edgar Wright for being able to stay true to the style of the source material. While there are some people who might be turn of by the style of the film, I feel that only the fans of the source material will deeply apprieciate this film.
Toy Story 3
Toy Story 3 has to be one of the most emotional films that I have seen in a while. The reason why I say that is because I grew up with the series, with the first one coming out when I was in pre-school. The film manages to still be successful in a trillogy of films, which sometimes is not so successful for other films in a trillogy. Another reason I felt so emotional to this film was because I...
The Social Network
While the idea of a movie about facebook might be a turn off for some, others will be intrigued by it. The Social Network isn’t necessarily about facebook, but about the orgin of facebook and the controversy surronding it. From the first scene of the film, I was immeadietly hooked and was never bored. One of the thing I liked about the film was the actors in it. Jesse Eisenberg does a...
Inception
What is Inception? Inception is a mind blowing film that is both intellectual and entertaining at the same time. From the acting of Di caprio, Page, and Hardy to the direction of Nolan, this film never becames boring and is easy to understand. Another thing that I liked about Inception is to me, it was original. In an age were we see everything being remade or rebooted, it was nice to see...
Best films of the Year: The Lovely Bones
I know, I know, but hear me out. While this film received a backlash from critics and fans of the book, I found the film to be a seperate piece on its’ on. I belive that Peter Jackson did a good job in adapting this book and while there are some faults in this film (Cgi effects, Acting of Marky Mark), there are pros’ in this film too. Some of the pro’s being the acting of...

The Best films of 2010.
As we say goodbye to 2010 and hello to 2011, I would like to look back to the films that were released in 2010. To me, I felt that 2010 was a good year to film. From a film about a college student starting a social website to a film about a man who can go into peoples’ dreams, I felt that the films of 2010 carried a certain magic to them. That is why I decided to come up with some of the films...

Is Geek Culture coming to an end? →
While Patton does bring up some good points, I would have to disagree with him overall. I don’t believe that something loses momentum if it becomes more accessable to everybody. I would like to hear what you all think about this article and whether or not you agree with what Patton is saying.
